I woke up early this day at the youth hostel and I decided to take a New-
Zealander breakfast.
Considering that New-Zealand is part of the Commonwealth, the usual Breakfast is
quite similar to the English one. There was a kind of «Marmite» called «Vegemite». If you
don't know this, it's a spread like «Nutella» but the taste is different. It can be
surprising !
I began my day taking a walk on the harbour to see why Auckland is nicknamed the «city of sails». Indeed, the docks were full of boats ! I always wanted to navigate on Hauraki Gulf Marine Park where we can see a lot of local marine mammals (dolphins, whalesand killer whales!) And how lucky I was! I found an eco-cruise called Safari Whale and Dolphin. So I decided to buy a ticket for a cruise. The start of this cruise was at 1:30 pm so I continued to explore the city and tried to meet some Auckland citizens. A few minutes later I found the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki It was a great art exhibition and moreover it was free entry. I hadn't prepared anything to eat before I left the youth hostel so I ordered a fish and chips !
It was 1:30 pm. The cruise started and I just got on board. A
wonderful experience began!
We navigated until 4:30 pm and we saw many dolphins and some
whales and killer whales. It was incredible to see them swim in
group. Fortunately the crew ship lent me a waterproof coat and
field glasses.
Then I continued my exploration of the city. I went to places that inhabitants recommanded me like the Albert Park (a great site to have a rest) and Ponsonby ( it's considered as the hype square of Auckland and indeed it's quite
artistic).
Tonight I wandered in Wynyard quarter to drink a glasse of wine with New-Zealander people. I prefered to go to bed early because tomorrow I am to take the plane at 6:00am to go to Australia !!!

Would you say Kiwi wine is as good as French wine?
