Welcome to Acapulco

Hi everybody,

 

 

 

Today I woke up in Mexico in Omar's house. We took our typical breakfast with his family. Then, as we decided yesterday, we went to Acapulco by car.

 

 

Of course, this city it is far away from Mexico: 4 hours by car! But during the ride, I could discover a lot of lanscapes and sleep a little because with all the jet lags I am very tired.

 

 

We arrived around 12:00 in Acapulco, so we decided to walk along the beautiful Hornos Beach. On the beach, a lot of young people were playing soccer and volley-ball. It is a famous meeting place to relax or to take advantage of the sea.

 

 

Just next to Hornos Beach, Omar showed me La Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán, which is the principal business area with a lot of restaurants, hotels, and shops.

 

 

At 2:00 pm, we wanted to eat. We found a typical restaurant call Restaurante El Fogón (it is a taquería, a place where people can eat tacos). So, we ate two tacos and we drunk piña colada just for 60 pesos per person (it is around 3 euros in France).

 

 

During the evening, we visited El Acantilado de la Quebrada, that is a natural wonder with a cliff, which is a famous tourist attraction. All the days, professional divers jump into the sea by 45 meters high. It was incredible and it is a crazy sport. I never saw that before !

 

 

At 5:00 pm, I will take the car with Omar, and we will come back to his house because tomorrow it is my last day in Mexico.

 

Tonight, we will have dinner in his house with his family again, his mother will prepare Chiles en nogada for us. They are really kind and friendly people.
